Breathe in.
Return home to yourself.

A small neighborhood studio for Hatha, Vinyasa and Restorative practice — built for beginners on their first mat and teachers who've been at this for decades.

about the studio

A room to slow down in

Still Water opened in 2016 above a corner bakery on Alberta Street, with one small room, twelve mats, and a teacher who believed the neighborhood needed a place to exhale. Nine years later, that's still exactly what it is — just with better floors.

We teach the practice as it was meant to be: unhurried, adaptable to the body in front of us, and never about how a pose looks. Every class is taught by a certified instructor with at least 500 hours of training, and every new student gets a free orientation session before their first class.

This is ans example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

what students say

Words from the mat

I walked in nervous about being the least flexible person in the room. Nobody made me feel that way — least of all the teachers.

RM

Rosa M.

Hatha Flow, 2 years

The restorative class on Sunday nights has become non-negotiable. It's the one hour of my week where my phone doesn't exist.

DK

David K.

Restorative & Yin, 4 years

I did the prenatal class through both pregnancies. My instructor remembered details about my life that even I'd forgotten I'd mentioned.
